Join Learning a Softer Gaze: A Step Toward Body Neutrality - A 1-hour live online workshop (Zoom)
Walk away with practical tools to handle body-image spirals, calm the inner tension, and meet your reflection with compassion.
Wake up and instantly feel “off” in your body — like something’s wrong?
Catch yourself body-checking in the mirror or comparing to others online?
Feel like how you look determines how confident you can be that day?
Cancel plans because nothing seems to fit?
Let the number on the scale dictate your worth that day?
Promise yourself you’ll be “kinder tomorrow”... only to fall back into self-criticism?
You are not alone.
They’re moments when emotion, fatigue, or unmet needs take form on the surface.
The body simply becomes where those feelings land.
In this hour, you’ll learn to recognize those internal shifts and practice softening your gaze, one breath at a time.
In this hour together, we’ll slow down and begin to see ourselves differently. You’ll move through a mix of learning, reflection, and guided practice designed to feel gentle but meaningful.
A mix of learning, reflection, and guided practice — designed to feel gentle but meaningful.
✨ Learn why body-image distress isn’t only about your reflection — it’s about what’s happening beneath it.
✨ Explore how emotion and attention live in the body and fuel harsh self-talk.
✨ Practice the SOFT GAZE — a four-step method to pause, notice who’s holding the mic, and return to your body with calm awareness.
✨ Experience the Soft Gaze Visualization — a guided imagery exercise to step back inside your body-house and meet your reflection with warmth instead of control.
✨ Integrate what you’ve learned with a closing reflection that helps you tend to the feelings beneath judgment with care, not criticism.
You’ll leave with language and tools you can use the next time the mirror feels unkind —
practical steps that don’t involve cancelling plans, starting another diet, or spending the day body-checking.
✨ A clear understanding of how body-image “storms” form and fade — and how to meet them with steadiness instead of panic.
✨ A repeatable SOFT GAZE Practice to use whenever self-criticism arises.
✨ An embodied sense of calm and connection through guided visualization.
✨ Awareness of the emotions that often hide beneath judgment — and how to respond to them with care, not control.
✨ Practical steps for when the inner weather feels heavy.
You’ll leave not with perfection, but with language, tools, and warmth to meet yourself — and your reflection — differently.

🌿 Why come live
There’s something quietly healing about being in a group of people who are also learning to see themselves differently.
We breathe and reflect together—the shared energy can’t be replicated later.
The replay is there if life happens, but the real shift unfolds live.

Hi, I’m Zeynep — a therapist specializing in emotional eating and body image, integrating Schema Therapy principles and lived experience.
My work is about helping you understand what your body is trying to tell you, so you can respond with curiosity instead of criticism.
I created Learning a Softer Gaze for those days when the mirror feels unkind — to remind you that it’s never really about your body, but about the parts of you that long for gentleness.
One gentle hour to understand your bad body-image days and learn to see yourself with clarity and compassion.
Let’s take one soft, realistic step together.
No — this isn’t therapy, but it is deeply therapeutic.
It’s a guided, reflective space designed to help you explore your relationship with your body and inner dialogue in a safe, structured way.
Never.
You’re welcome to participate in whatever way feels comfortable — listening quietly, journaling privately, or sharing reflections in the chat if you feel moved to.
The space is gentle and non-judgmental; everyone’s process looks a little different.
Not at all.
You can keep your camera off for the entire session if that helps you feel more at ease.
The focus is on your internal experience, not how you appear on screen.
Neither.
This is not about changing your body — it’s about changing the way you relate to yourself.
You won’t hear talk of calories, weight, or “fixing” anything.
Instead, you’ll learn how to listen to what your body is trying to tell you and meet it with compassion.
Nothing formal — just bring a pen, your workbook (sent the day before), and a quiet space where you can sit comfortably.
If you’d like, have a cozy drink or blanket nearby.
This hour is for you.
You’ll get the most out of this experience if you can join us live.
There’s something quietly healing about being in a group of people who are also learning to soften the way they see themselves — we co-regulate just by showing up together.
But if life or time zones make that difficult, please don’t worry.
You’ll still receive the workbook and 7-day replay access so you can move through the practice in your own time, at your own pace.
That’s okay — this work isn’t about never having bad days again.
It’s about knowing how to meet those days when they come.
You’ll leave with practices you can return to whenever you need to ground yourself or find gentleness again.
